Do you have a specific brand you prefer? Just buy whatever is on sale? We used to get the Petco refillable litter, but they changed the formula or something recently. Not only did the cost go up, but they no longer include the scented crystal things - those are now sold separately at $5/bag and you’d need 3-4 of them for what used to be included. Plus it no longer clumps. We want to keep the kitties happy, and since it doesn’t clump and smells, they are not happy and neither are we.

I think we use tidy cat with Glade. It definitely has glade in it, don't remember the brand but I imagine there's only one.

We buy the big green plastic jerry can looking thing they sell at Costco – mostly driven by price and by far it’s the cheapest we’ve found. 40lb container for $8-9 or so I believe. The other litter Costco carries that comes in a soft shelled plastic container I’ve noticed is better, but only marginally (and it does have a more “pleasant” smell – seems like that’s something you like), but it’s a bit more expensive so we don’t usually buy that one.
We used World’s Best Kitty Litter or whatever that brand is called before …it was good, but pricey. Think prices and quality are really all over the place, so probably a matter of gathering a few suggestions and seeing what works best for you for the money you’re willing to spend.

We’re happy with the Tidy Cats red label “24/7 Performance.” It is scented, but not heavily. Single cat.

We get the big thing of Scoop Away from Costco. I t isn’t the best at odor control but it’s a reasonable price and if you keep the boxes clean it’s fine. It helps that our litter box is in a basement bathroom that nobody uses.

Dr. Elsey’s from Amazon. It was usually very cheap and very effective, especially on Subscribe & Save.
My cat hasn’t shat inside in over a year, so I’m going from memory...

I use the Clump Control or whatever it’s called Arm and Hammer. I recommend having an indoor-outdoor cat so you can save a small fortune not buying cat litter.

Tidy Cats 4-in-1,
we will also get whatever other Tidy Cats litter they have. We have 2 cats something with less dust would be prefered but it is the best of those we have tried.

I’m willing to pay a bit of a premium so my house doesn’t smell like shit. This is our preferred litter:

I’ve been taking care of cats for 11+ years and I love this stuff. No idea on cost but if I ever have cats again, this is what I’d buy. Low dust, great odor control, and clumps perfectly.

I like 2.4 Liter, but I am okay with my 2.0 liter as well.

My 2.4 liter K24Z6 in the CR-V only puts out 185 ho rsepower though, I think I’d much rather the 2.0 liter in the new Accord and Civic Type R honestly

Paws is the brand; it clumps; it’s got some anti odor stuff; it’s reasonably cheap. I may do some comparison shopping now.

I don’t know if you’ve tried it but I find the thing that makes the biggest difference in poop smell is using a grain free food. Again; it’s a little more expensive but the difference for our cat was pretty big.

2.4 liters is okay when your car weighs 2,250 lbs.

Yeah, except it weighs 3200+ pounds, the big chonk.

I’ve used Arm & Hammer “Slide” forever and like it because it keeps the bottom of the box extremely clean and also does a great job at controlling odor. We also use Arm & Hammer deodorizer with each scoop and she only eats grain free Purina One. These things are a little pricier, but we don’t have a huge place so odor control is muy importante.
